Charlie Christian was an American swing and jazz guitarist who gained national exposure as a member of the Benny Goodman Sextet and Orchestra from August 1939 to June 1941. Despite only living to the age of 25 he left an indelible mark on the development and appreciation of Swing and Pre-bop jazz.

Kallan Francis has brought together an ensemble who will explore the sounds and styles of the Charlie Christian years.
